Highlighting the Essence of Spring Yellow: the vibrant neon yellow from Hublot watches captivated us.
Hublot continues its exploration of SAXEM—a material often used in satellites and some lasers—allowing the Manufacturer to achieve unprecedented translucent colors, including neon yellow. This marks a first for Hublot and for watchmaking. Creating a translucent case in a bright, fluorescent shade of neon yellow may seem straightforward, but it was, in reality, incredibly complex to accomplish.
The yellow is a striking, bright neon color that almost appears to glow from within, reminiscent of a fluorescent substance. It has a citrus-like quality, an intense, fluorescent shade of acid yellow. To tackle this highly technical challenge, Hublot had to seek a solution in space technology, as SAXEM was developed for satellite technology. This unique material was also utilized in 2019 for the Big Bang MP-11.

Although yellow is a primary color plentiful in nature, it remains challenging, if not nearly impossible, to reproduce in materials like ceramic. As a true catalyst for innovation, the Hublot Manufacture has accomplished the remarkable feat of creating the first bright yellow ceramic.
Yellow Magic is the name of Hublot’s vibrant high-tech ceramic, destined to emerge since the introduction of its red ceramic in 2018. This unique material results from a patented process, entirely conceived and produced by the manufacturer’s R&D department alongside its Metallurgy & Materials laboratory. It took four years of research to achieve the ideal combination of temperature and pressure, allowing the ceramic to be sintered without damaging the pigments.

For Spring 2017, the Big Bang Broderie Sugar Skull Fluo revisited traditional materials in an original, modern way with Bischoff embroidery from St Gallen with Big Bang, an undisputed symbol of fusion art, designed to disrupt traditional norms. A neon sensation, Big Bang Sugar Skull Fluo, features vibrant fluorescent details. It presented four glowing guipure lace variations to grace the wrist. Bold and strikingly glamorous, these designs showcase exquisite St. Gallen embroidery in vibrant colors.
“Beautiful things never go out of fashion. Neither do artistic crafts or expertise. Hublot fuses these together in a bright collection for everyday wear. An ancestral art and a rebellious spirit are given a pop makeover.” Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO Hublot.
