Architecture and redefining the relationship between the yacht and the sea: Benetti unveils Clear Waves.
Clear Waves, Benetti’s 70-metre megayacht, places wellness at the heart of its design. This collaborative project brings together the expertise of Benetti, LUCA DINI Design & Architecture, and The Longevity Suite.

Wellness areas are traditionally added to a preset layout. Clear Waves reverses this approach, designing the entire yacht around each individual’s physical and mental well-being. Wellness isn’t confined to a particular moment or space; it shapes every aspect of life on board, from purified air and maximum sleep comfort to color schemes carefully studied for different times of day.
Architecture is also central to this vision. Clear Waves reimagines the traditional yacht layout: typically placed on the lower deck, the wellness area becomes the focal point of the yacht’s most prestigious space, the upper deck. Framed by natural plants, it features relaxation areas, a dedicated food & beverage island, hot and cold water circuits, and state-of-the-art treatment technologies.

Clear Waves’ focal point is the Glass Dome, a monumental, self-sufficient 400-square-meter glass structure. Spanning two decks, it offers uninterrupted 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape. By drawing natural light and the outdoors into the heart of the onboard experience, it creates a visual connection between inside and out—from sunrise to sunset and beneath the starry skies at night.

Designed to generate the energy it needs to operate, the Glass Dome also addresses the thermal and energy-management challenges of extensive glass surfaces. More than 60% of its surface is made up of translucent photovoltaic panels. The glass has low-emissivity properties, filters infrared radiation, and protects against UV rays. A direct-expansion HVAC system with Capacity on Demand technology continuously filters the air and regulates temperature.
The dome’s geometry supports ventilation and natural air circulation through the stack effect, while floor-level air intakes prevent direct drafts and help maintain a consistent microclimate.

“If Benetti’s Oasis Deck® has redefined the relationship between the yacht and the sea, Clear Waves looks to the sky and to the human being. The starting point is the individual and, in particular, the principles of longevity,” explains Sebastiano Vida, Head of Product at Benetti. “The concept is built around five pillars – environment, movement, social connection, mental and spiritual wellbeing, and technology – which come together in the project in a holistic approach.”
