As Executive Chef of Mandarin Oriental, New York, Sylvain Delpique oversees all its culinary operations and offerings. He has infused a fresh perspective into its culinary identity – introducing dynamic menus, revitalizing food presentations, and elevating kitchen standards. He has worked in some of the most celebrated kitchens in France and the Northeastern United States for nearly 30 years. Raised in a small village in Frontenex, France, he was immersed in rich culinary traditions that sparked his passion for cooking. He earned a degree from Challes-les-Eaux Culinary School while working in some of France’s best restaurants, including Michelin-starred Pierre Orsi in Lyon and Maison Chabran in Valence à Pont de L’Isère.
