A collaboration between British studio RWD and Lürssen has resulted in a yacht that embodies quiet confidence, thoughtful design, and sophisticated livability.
Earlier this spring, the 78.20-meter ODISEA left Germany to begin her first voyage. Originally named ACE 21 during construction, this modern and sleek Lürssen combines luxurious lifestyle amenities with versatile, go-anywhere performance. Since 2000, Lürssen has built over 20 yachts under 80 meters, making up about a third of their total yachts in this period. Notably, this is the first time the German shipyard has collaborated with the multi-award-winning British design firm RWD for both the exterior and interior of a yacht.

Her interiors are bright, inviting, and ideal for a seaside home. The color scheme features natural tones, soft woods, and pale marble, creating an understated yet cozy atmosphere. Instead of ornate details, organic textures and gentle transitions are used, while carefully selected artworks and layered finishes add depth and vibrancy. This approach reflects RWD’s philosophy of thoughtful, family-centered living..
A standout element of ODISEA is the Beach House, a glass-walled lounge on the main deck. It opens on three sides with three-metre sliding doors, seamlessly connecting to the outdoor deck and teak-lined pool. Built and engineered internally, the Beach House highlights Lürssen’s exceptional ability to design and craft large, intricate glass structures.

Additional amenities feature a foredeck sports court that can be used for basketball, pickleball, yoga, or pilates, as well as a sundeck that easily shifts from an open-air space to an enclosed skylounge, equipped with a Jacuzzi, bar, fire pit, and dining area for up to 20 guests. The list also includes dual outdoor cinemas, a wellness retreat, and a dedicated water sports zone with diving and fishing facilities.
“Every yacht we build asks something new of us,” says Peter Lürssen. “Working with RWD on ODISEA allowed us to push the boundaries of both engineering and arrangement. The result is a yacht designed entirely around modern life at sea. She is a proud addition to our fleet.”

Like all modern Lürssens, ODISEA features a compact exhaust system with a patented SCR technology to greatly lower NOx emissions. Owner’s Representative Dan Robsham from Mariner Technical Services led the Owner’s Build Team and noted, “It was a pleasure to work with the Lürssen and RWD Teams during the design and build of this amazing yacht.”
