Vacheron Constantin launched a second 12-year cycle of Métiers d’Art watches focused on the Chinese zodiac, continuing a tradition that began in 2012. The current cycle features the Horse, replacing the Snake, in 2026. The horse symbolizes vitality, elegance, loyalty, courage, good fortune, and auspiciousness in Chinese culture. These watches reaffirm the Maison’s 180-year relationship with China, rooted in early 19th-century shipments and crafting highly decorated, durable pieces for Chinese dignitaries, including the Emperor. Over the years, they’ve created culturally inspired watches like the Métiers d’Art Tribute to Traditional Symbols, the Traditionelle Tourbillon, and Les Cabinotiers series, including the recent Métiers d’Art The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac.
