Arts patron, philanthropist, and hospitality entrepreneur Elaine Wynn (1942-2025) is remembered for her heart as much as her style. This Bulgari emerald, cultured pearl, and diamond necklace features a Heart mixed-cut emerald weighing 23.29 carats, heart-shaped diamonds of 2.53, 2.05, 1.46, 1.41, 1.01, and 0.99 carats, bufftop cabochon emeralds, cultured pearls, and a combination of heart and round diamonds, set in 18k yellow gold. It is signed Bvlgari, with maker’s marks and numbering.

Here is a Raymond Yard piece, whose exquisite designs set the standard for American jewelry in the mid-20th century. As his reputation for high standards and honesty grew, his clients often became friends, blurring the lines between business and personal relationships. Early in his career at Marcus & Co., Yard formed a lifelong friendship with John D. Rockefeller Jr., one of his earliest supporters when Yard launched his independent business in 1922. This bond with the Rockefeller family grew stronger over the years, with all of John Jr.’s sons continuing to support Yard in the decades afterward.
